MOMO Keepsake Jewellery

For those of you that know me, know how much I love collecting souvenirs from our little adventures.  I have even devoted a whole blog post about my souvenir collection.  You can read about that  here.  Travel gives me so much joy in two forms. The vacation itself is only half of that joy.  It’s the memory of that journey that continues to make me happy for years if not a lifetime. For me, a souvenir is a token that sparks a memory of life’s indelible moments.  So when I came across the MOMO Keepsake Jewellery Kit you can probably understand my excitement!  I had to get my hands on one of these little treasure kits for our trip to the Whitsunday Islands in Queensland.

Whilst visiting some of the worlds most glittering beaches we collected a pinch of sand and used that sand to create our very own wearable ornamental crystal pendant necklace using the MOMO Keepsake Jewellery Kit.  The kit contained everything we needed and had very clear and simple instructions.

Monkey and I had so much fun mixing the chemicals with  our collected sand and adding splashes of colours and golden specks to our crystal pendants. The best part about the kit is that there was enough solution for us both to make our own pendants. We eagerly had to wait 12 hours for the solution to set in the mould.

I couldn’t be happier with my gorgeous souvenir.  Whenever I wear it people stop and complement my shimmery pendant. They are amazed when I tell them I made it using the sand from our dreamy holiday and then for a moment it sparks that memory and I’m back on the beach with a cocktail in hand. Monkey took hers to school for show and tell and is as proud as punch to brag about her newly found chemistry skills and her fun-filled holiday.
